Deacon Ordination
Today we had the Deacon ordination at Church. It was the first time in 250 years that we had 4 people being ordained at the same time. Here are a few of my images.

Composite
One of our final projects was creating a composite. We could be as creative as we wanted to be, but we had to follow every single guideline. What I decided to do was take a picture of the graveside called God's Acre at Old Salem and have that as my background. From there, I had to decide how I was actually going to piece it together. You think of gravesides you usually see flowers, so I decided to have my lovely model Sarah put a flower onto one of the graves and make it look as if this was a photo taken way back when. Here is my final product.

Central Carolina Fair
This weekend I got the opportunity to go to the Central Carolina Fair in Greensboro with a good friend of mine and her son. We spent about 5 or 6 hours just walking around and having a great time. Before I left, I decided to get on the Ferris Wheel and take a picture with all of the lights. Here is one of the pictures that I got.

Baseball Championship!
The Winston-Salem Dash have had a great season so far. We won both halves of the division, we won in the playoffs and now we are off to the Championship. It is Game 4 tonight, and the guys need a win to be able to go onto Game 5 tomorrow night. I was just lucky enough to be able to drive on Tuesday to Lynchburg for the game, kind of hoping I can go back for Game 4 and hopefully Game 5. Here are some of the pictures I took.

Zoo
So today during my day off, I decided to go to the zoo to take some pictures. Because of the humidity, I decided to leave a little early but I at least got to see the new baby giraffe! All I can say is that she is absolutely adorable.

And so it begins...
Football season is back. From now until the playoffs, my Friday nights
are going to be filled with nothing but Football! This week I decided to
go back to my old high school to take pictures and I actually enjoyed
it. I was able to go onto the sidelines to take pictures which was kind
of cool but at the same time kind of a problem especially with the 300
mm lens. But it all worked out to the point where I even got offered the
chance to get some of my stuff published! How many people can actually
say that has happened to them? Hope you enjoy!

Tennessee
Over the break, I got to spend a couple well needed days with my mother in Tennessee. We went to Dollywood and rode the Wild Eagle at least 10 times throughout the two days. One of the main things that we were able to do was actually go up the mountain and do a little bit of sight seeing. It was such an incredible view from the top and it shows that there really is a God. Here are some of my images from my trip.

Glass
This week for Kevin's class, we had to photograph two different pictures of the exact same glass and using the same kind of light source. The only difference for the two pictures was trying to block the light and creating a dark or bright field. Here are my two images.
Industry
One of this weeks assignments was to go out and take pictures of someone working on their industry. I decided to do a little something different and go see a lady who rebuilds and fixes up chairs. Here is a couple of the shots that I created with my off camera flash.

Washington D.C.
So for this weeks blog post, I decided to show you guys some pictures that I took in Washington D.C. over Spring Break. Washington D.C. is one of my favorite places to go because of all of the history and sites there are to see. No matter how many times you may go, it's almost as if you have never seen it before. Some of my favorite places to go while I'm there is the Smithsonian Museum to see the Ruby Slippers, the Vietnam Wall, Iwo Jima, Arlington National Cemetery, Lincoln Memorial, World War II Monument, and so much more. Here are some of my favorite images that I took.

Motion
This week, our weekly was to go out and shoot motion. When you think of motion, what do you really think about? Do you think about running, walking, skating, etc. For me...I chose roller skating. Here in Asheboro we have the Roll A' Bout where everyone is welcome to go and skate and enjoy time with their friends and family listening to music and having a bunch of snack food. There's the lights, the games, the food, but most of all the fun just hanging out with the people you love most and skating. Here are a couple of the images that I was able to capture.

HDR Effect
So this week we were given an assignment where we had to take one of our images and do the HDR effect. I chose several images that I thought I would give a try just to see which one would look best. I chose baseball, I chose some flowers, but my favorite of them all was one of my Washington D.C. pictures. We all know about some of the different monuments that are in Washington D.C. like the Washington Monument, Abraham Lincoln Monument, and the Vietnam Wall. To me, this is one of my favorite images because you can since the love and calmness of this sight. We lost a lot of people in that war, and this is our way of showing appreciation.

I want you!
Yesterday I got the opportunity to go home and take pictures at the Kernersville Parade. While I was there I met some very friendly people who were definitely in the Independence Day spirit. During the parade, I got to see some people that I don't get to see anymore as well as some complete strangers. While walking in the parade, it really surprised me that so many people wanted me to take their pictures. Here are some of the shots that I took.
